For over two years, Abeo Corporation has worked directly with the Transportation
Security Administration (TSA) to design and deploy an end-to-end strategic
infrastructure protection solution at Helena Regional Airport and Tallahassee
Regional Airport. The success of those projects resulted in Abeo spearheading
the recently launched Strategic Infrastructure Protection Consortium and
its associated security solution, an integrated set of proven, leading
edge technologies that have been combined to radically improve security
capabilities at critical infrastructure installations such as airports,
power plants, rail yards, military bases, sea ports and other infrastructure
locations.
To continue developing this solution and increase its adoption in the
marketplace, Abeo has launched a new practice area dedicated to security
system architecture design, systems integration, and wireless solutions
that push computing to the "edge."
SIPC Solution Capabilities
- Integrates existing systems and sensors so there is no need to
replace past investments
- Eliminates the guesswork from alarms and alerts, radically
reducing false alarms so that attention can be spent on foes versus
friends
- Allows security personnel to use one geospatial computer interface to
manage cameras, alerts, alarms, and other sensor systems; the days
of multiple CCTV monitors are over
- Correlates events to raise threat levels; multiple breaches
or suspicious activities can be automatically analyzed at the same
time and elevated accordingly
- Assesses video footage automatically to identify prohibited
activities or events, such as recognizing the parking of oversized
vehicles in restricted passenger drop-off locations
- Connects to systems operated by security personnel, law enforcement,
first responders, and federal and state officials, greatly expediting
emergency response and improving multi-jurisdictional communications
- Allows for data sharing and ring fencing across multiple installations,
thereby protecting sensitive information while sharing critical data
that is needed to fully appreciate and assess a security threat

General Aviation Solution
Sometimes
overlooked as a critical infrastructure, General Aviation (GA) facilities
are at the brink of rapid expansion caused by new air transportation
models such as on-demand taxi services. At the same time, GA Airports
are vulnerable because they are underserved by perimeter and access control
defenses, and typically employ a "neighborhood watch" approach to security.
At Abeo, we have designed a security solution based on our work with
TSA that can be used to affordably protect GA facilities. It employs
a regional common operational picture coupled with affordable sensors
strategically deployed at key GA locations, and can be combined with
existing emergency response tools and practices. For more information,
